Headline WTF tech billionaire buys largest ski area in nation?!?

    Story
The latest news in the ski world is the marriage of a 21st-century tech billionaire and a troubled ski mountain. In one fell swoop, Reed Hastings, the co-founder of Netflix, has made a $100 million investment in Powder Mountain, Utah, the country’s largest resort. Hastings, who stepped down as CEO of Netflix in January and became a minority owner of Powder Mountain in April, ascended to majority owner of the resort with this investment on September 6.
Been skiing Pow Mow since the 80s.

Even made it up there after the Summit Series guys bought it as I thought I had buisness for them from my event agency (thanks for intro MD9)

NEVER once in those decades did the phrase "country's largest resort" ever cross my mind or earholes.

Was a bit thrown to read that this AM

I assume it's included in your Netflix subscription.

If I ever become mega-rich, buying my favourite ski hill sounds like a great retirement project. I just need a few billion dollars first.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Acreage isn't really a metric that I consider when looking for a ski area to visit. But I can see miles and miles of blues and greens with copious snowfall and fewer crowds being a pretty appealing thing for families who spend lots of money. But yeah, I remember PowMow being called the biggest ski area in the county because of their large snow cat terrain for at least a few years now.

They count the terrain on the backside that you ski to the road and get picked up by the bus too.

The copious amount of snow doesn't exist there, despite what their marketing says. I mean lies about.

I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.
