Skis like the Salamon x-drive 8.8 fs

So I spent a day on these many years ago, and I'm still beating myself up over not buying them. They must be the most underrated ski in history, but I think they were so ugly that nobody tried them. I'm not sure if there are any modern skis quite like them.

Full camber, 19m radius, 88mm waist and fucking stiff like a race ski. They could nuke through anything as long as it wasn't too deep. Any suggestions?

Yo dude, if you can swing the 175cm, I actually two pair of “comp” build in the outlet section (they have very mild cosmetic blemishes). Coming from X drives, You definitely want the comp build!

Perfect! I did prefer the x-drive shorter than expected, so 175 sounds perfect! Do you know what shipping and taxes to Norway costs?

Good question, let me look. I have definitely shipped a number of skis to NO, so no trouble. I’ll pm you in a couple hours once I can pull it.

I have some 2014 xdrive 8.8 FS's that I'd be happy to sell for a very reasonable price. 184 cm. 131-88-117. 19m radius. 1 mount for marker demo bindings. Bases have some minor dings, but mostly they're just dusty and dry.

Nice! But probably a bit expensive to ship to Norway?

Shoot me a pm with your address and I'll punch it in to some shipping calculators. I honestly have no idea how much it costs to ship skis to Norway.

If you want, you can demo my 182 R87s this winter, at least for a week or so. Shipping from Mosjøen, No. [emoji846]

Great thread - the community coming together over the love of semi-obscure charger skis.

I wanted a pair of those sooo bad. What would you want for them if you were to sell them?

I own many "chargers" and the x-drives are by far the stiffest skis in my quiver. Somehow they work though and I don't find them too demanding, just very precise and strong when you need them. I wish more ski manufactures made skis like that in the <90mm width
