That's been covered in the last handful of posts. Irrc you get a keypass for the week or however many days.

We stayed right downtown at Gasthaus zum Sternen this past May and can confirm that it's a cool little village to wander around.

The Sonne hotel is an old cool wood clad hotel in old Andermatt.

Here's an image of one of the beams in the dining room.

Thanks. Not sure I'm going to have time to check that out on this fairly short trip unfortunately.

    Via train 22 km : 1 hour.

Via skis? Train Rueras->Dieni (3 minutes) Dieni chairlifts->Val Val chairlifts/skis->Oberalp Pass (20 minutes?) -> Gutsch gondola/chairs skis (25 minutes)->Natschen(5 minutes by skis)->Andermatt(5 minutes by skis)

Rueras is between Sedrun and Dieni below:

He meant 50 minutes, not 50 miles. It's 22+ kilometers on the train in exactly 1 hour which is almost all skiable except the 3 minutes by train from Rueras to Dieni.

We will ski to Andermatt, walk through town or get the jitney in order to get to the Gemsstock tram. This is a requirement.

This is usually my first day requirement at a new ski area. Go as far East to West as possibly to check everything out

I would really rather check out Disentis with the monastery or literally any other town in the Swiss alps if you want to see some nice (old) buildings. Sure to hang out Andermatt is nice!

Hey Leo, stoked that you're in for some turns and partying.

I am looking forward to checking out Disentis as I didn't have time last trip.

Skiing is starting to ramp up over here for some of us. I'm training for EuroBBI24.

throw your JH dates into Djongo's Letitsnow thread. I'm going to be there for several days Feb 14-19. And I am considering the Arlberg for a few days post Mt. Lodge, so I'll give you a head's up if that works out. Hope to see you before that either in JH or Andermatt.

Also hope this is okay but future Mrs Tgapp is coming and she is an absolute delight. She knows the score - TGR has been part of our relationship since the very beginning - and she loves meeting mags and seeing what makes me tick. So excited for her to experience ski culture at it's purest.

My wife joined in 2019 and Mrs. Mofro one year (maybe 2020?). Mrs. Shroom is a regular (and one of the best skiers among the bunch). So, significant others are welcome.

I signed up for the mailing list a few days after I heard and they sent me the code on my birthday in December.

It's for $10 off any lift ticket purchase, or the half price card, good for the month of your Bday
