the 2023-24 Bross Plus (+) is not a hard bross. it is the regular feel but with new Polartec Power Air. Same zippered front , cinches on hood and waist. 2 front kangeroo pockets.. We have solid colors and 2 color patterns set up and ready to commence making once we finish this seasons Antero 2,2+3 seam taped jackets. (finishing sooner than later)
Polartec Power Air has bigger moisture absorbing squares than past regulator versions. This will mean a new look due to increased grid size (aprox 1.5x size grids) and new colors....WRG is going to post up when he has samples in hand.
Here is my personal assessment on the power air (pa) vs teh regular regulator. each moisture absorbing grid on the PA is like a sandwhich. the top and bottom are like thin bread layers (very thin knit jersey) , the middle is connected to bread layers via a brushed poly layer that connects the top and bottom bread layers. what this seems to do from a performance level is pull moisture from your body and transfer it mostly to the middle layer and much less to the outer layer to evaporate faster and away from your skin and other fabric layers. This is an improvement over the old regulator which is one contiguous fur ball poly grid which absorbs moisture and is connected to the face jersey knit layer but does not really have a path to transfer it away or quarantine it from skin/inner clothing layers or outer clothing layers. The face jersey layer is about the same weight and just slightly more noticeably heavier than past regulator bross offerings.
the grids are about 1.5x bigger than the old. So the imprint on the outside of the garment will show bigger squares than years past. very very cool looking imho. so combined cool look, new colors, 2 colors, and the improved performance is going to make this an advanced version of the bross over years past. so, if you rotate old bross with this new one, you are going to have a different look and of course new colors. very excited about this fabric.
of course this is our first year ever offering 2 color bross .....we have 5 colors and WRG will show it off with his pro picture taking skills to present to you the new and improved 2023-24 Bross Plus +..............
and we will have the lady cuts too.....www.freeridesystems.com

ftr we are running behind on this years jacket offerings because we are no longer our own biggest customer for our sewn goods. nope u won't find our stuff as a collab with big name brands..(smart or dumb?? ive turned down multiple offers)
it is our uniform work for gov and private industry (willing to support USA made technical wear) that is bumping our own brands around a bit....these govs are on fiscal years?? budgets..all new stuff for us to learn how to manage... anyway, we are underway and also had enough time to create a few new products besides the Bross Plus+ (BP+, Bross+)
i will let WRG announce these other new projects in the very near future....im very proud of some new product that is not limited to just skiing......
spoiler: not tees, not caps, not wallets...this is going to be in the realm of our traditional wheelhouse but completely different materials..............
altho this years Antero jacket purchasers will get a free hat while supplies last....we dont have a ton of them and they cost us ton$ so it's fairly limited for prolly first small wave of buyers....www.freeridesystems.com

In for 2x!
Although I've been working out my forearms and would like to know if this product will feature slide-up-able sleeves?

im not sure about cuffs sliding up. with the way we make them now, it is a higher grade of production and aesthetics. but i guess we could go back to the drawing board and make a no cuff version.
but it could be moving around like a surfers pullover 18th century pirate feel. not sure how that would translate for skiing. a bit afraid to do it without a patternChange/Newsample; patternChange/newSample; patternChange/newSample cycle. This would cost frs money and time, (I already made all the patterns~ and they standing by). if this step is skipped could end up being bad....
could feel like this
i can look at turning the fabric for those pieces but again all new patterns since we combine sizes in the cut and they are mixed in on one huge printed file like a puzzle. this is how we get the best yield and effieciency from our fabric.
I can see what can be done. this air may stretch different at the cuff. all fabrics are different. i look in to it 4uwww.freeridesystems.com

ok, i know above wasnt an exhaustive poll, but the for cuffs seem to have it. in any event, i will look into whether we can turn them on the pattern to gain any additional stretch. Or, determine if we already have turned them to get more stretch with warp or weft while leaving current cuff design in place.

If you're going to do a lime green colorway, I'll get Mrs. MNIAW a second one in women's cut. Hoping you can make my Christmas shopping a slam dunk!

I have an entire fucking rack of grid fleece hoodies. But only 4 brosses (black, hard black, green, hoodie). Obviously need another. Excited to see the colorways.

i think the only ‘cuff’ commentary last go-round was just a bit larger diameter on forearm. i haven’t climbed rocks or lifted heavy shit in a decade so current design is fine for me but i notice it in a way i do for no other garment. that said, if i was more furious in masturbation or gripping dumbbell, or just above 50th percentile in forearm diameter, it would be a problem cause the shit ain’t that stretchy

^lol
ok the stretch is in the warp and not the weft...so down the fabric roll in length. Down the arm is a 4 of 5 with 5 being stretchyiest, across the sleeve is like a 1.5
i can redo patterns and stretch across but i dont believe thats the correct way
to widen arm, is going to be a major pattern change as it affects armhole, cuff and then graded for all sizes....www.freeridesystems.com
