    Dean River Bound

Heading north to the Lower Dean on Monday, thanks to a cancellation and subsequent invite from a friend.

Anything to pack that I wouldn't have covered? Lodging seems relatively plush. I have done a lot of Oregon/Idaho steelheading but nothing close to Dean caliber. I'm bringing a 13.5' 7wt spey rod and a standard one hand 9' 8wt.

And yes, I'll post some pics when I get back!

Blue and purple. Head weight depends on river flow. Praying you aren’t chucking T-18 or T-8’s but somewhere in between. Throw the single hander back in the closet and bring a 2 handed 6wt instead.
