Nice.
When I saw “Florida” in the title I was expecting someone to try to revive it with bath salts and then finger bang it.
But this one had a happy ending.

The writers strike has wide ranging effects.
Gotta be a really sick fish for a mako to end up on a beach, yeah? Don't they tend to be bluewater shark?
Was that killer shark over in Egypt determined to be a Mako or other oceangoing shark (that wouldn't normally be seen by the shore) or am I confusing my murderous fishes?I still call it The Jake.

About 3 weeks ago, my neighbor went of a swim near Pt Reyes w a couple other people. Great white took him down at the surf line and he was never seen again.

Best part:
“We can estimate the worth from Boston prices all the way to Vineyard prices,” he said. “As you know, things are much more expensive on the Vineyard, and we don’t necessarily know if the package was destined for the Vineyard; we can’t say that for sure.”

Condolences.
Friends and family identified the man missing in a possible shark attack off Point Reyes National Seashore as Felix Louis Syl N’jai, a native of Gambia who grew to call California home and became an avid kiteboarder.
N’jai, 52, hasn’t been seen since friends saw him pulled underwater at Wildcat Beach on Sunday morning in a possible shark attack, prompting a multiday search in water and on land.
Close friends and family are now mourning N’jai, who had made his home in the Bay Area.

Sharks, man
Pretty surreal for sure.
Besides kiting, Felix was a great skier too and had a long standing ski lease in Olympic valley. Pretty recognizable on the slopes too because their aren’t too many dudes w dreads ripping around Squaw, let alone on Tele skis
