Have never understood this mindset. Is hockey not allowed where the ponds don’t freeze?

That might have been the worst play of the playoffs. Wtf rangers.

Man what an unbelievable 1st OT... incredible action, up and down the ice chance after chance after chance on both ends...

McDavid STONED on an absolutely wide open net... Oilers kill the 4 minute double minor... SO glad I have no dog in this fight but very happy as a hockey fan

How was Kulikov;s hit on Wennberg not a major? The explanation was that hitting the head isn't a penalty if it's part of a hit on the whole body. How to do you check someone in the head without hitting the rest of the body? Same thing with the hit that broke Bedard's jaw early in the season that wasn't called. How do you break someone's jaw without it being a head shot. For a while when the TBI issue flared up the NFL seemed like it wanted to get serious about head injuries but in the last few years it seems like it's backslid--looking for excuses not to call majors and game misconducts.

Not sure how Bob missed the winner. Great game--high energy.

Yeah that seemed to be as clear cut of a five as there is. I get letting them play in the playoffs, but that may keep Wennberg out for some amount of time. Tough not to call that.

Meanwhile I loved seeing McJesus learn high-sticking rules apply to him too…

It doesn't make sense that drawing blood, no matter how minor, draws a double minor while damaging someone's brain is minor, if it's called at all. I say that as someone who had their nose broken by a high stick and who played the 3rd period of a game concussed enough that I didn't know which end of the ice I was supposed to be shooting at. (That no one noticed tells you all you need to know about my hockey skills.)

Went out to see a band last night, got home around 11:00 and figured hockey was done for the night so I turned on Van Peezy but got to see the Rangers win in OT, which was nice. Not a Rangers fan but fuck the Panthers.

That Panthers rangers game last night was highly entertaining. Best game of the playoffs this year that I've seen. Big hits, fast pace, great plays, great saves. Just all around solid entertainment. Little confused how Bob let that last one by as well.

Henrik said Bobrovsky is vulnerable high. Like every modern goalie I suppose. BTW Lundqvist is the only hockey player who looks like they belong in a suit. One of the funniest sights in sports is the video of the teams arriving at the rink in suits and ties.

Seems like a lot of players in a lot of different series losing their edges more than usual, having trouble handling pucks, misdjudging passes. Soft ice? My imagination?

Bruins were, but panthers didn’t seem to be. Maybe that’s soft ice and the panthers are used to it because Florida might be tougher to keep cold? Or maybe the bruins just played like shit.

Rangers/panthers game looked fine to me. Didn’t see much of Oilers/Stars.

Insane win. Ties the record for winning a playoff game with fewest SOG.

Looking forward to watching some Finals Hockey!!
