Kids bindings for small adult female?

Hi - I'm buying new skis for my wife, who has recently upped her ski game enough to warrant buying some new ones. My question is, given that she is petite and skis on a 4.5 DIN, would I be costing her any noticeable performance (or safety, obviously) by buying a junior ski binding that runs from 2-7 instead of an adult binding that runs from 4-11?

    Thanks!

Buy her an adult binding. Plenty of them with low din settings. You asked since you knew you were wrong in even thinking it.

Does she ski in kids' boots? If not, the boots won't fit right, either.

    Look Pivot 12
    Marker Squire 11
    Tyrolia Attack 12

Take ur pick….they all are fine for light adults/tweenagers….

Rad - found a cheap pair of Squire 11's for the same px as a kids binding, so I don't have to hang my head in hidden shame whenever I see my significant other.

    many thanks!

There are 10 and 11 din adult bindings out there that would work just fine for her.

Warden 11 - and they show up here and there for around $100, if you're asking the question for money-saving purposes.

If she's really petite Solly L10 might do the job, adjusts to both junior and adult size boot lugs. Otherwise, other 10-11 DIN would probably do just as well.

When you are buying a better binding you are buying a better housing/interface, not jsut a bigger spring.

IMHO, the best tweener binding/coupling is the Look SPX10.
