For skiing I still prefer the wired ones for playback control on the cord. Haven’t gotten on board with voice controls for the airpods yet.

I found a pair of Philips TAT3215 for $6 ($50 retail) at TJ Maxx and they work great.
I use them more than my other B and O's.
