Canada’s Troubadour, Gordon Lightfoot Passes
One of Canada’s greatest folk artists and songwriters, Mr Lightfoot passes at age 84.
Your songs were always near, not often in the forefront, but always a part of the playlist, especially on long drives with the truck filled with everything I owned, heading to a new adventure.
Thanks for sharing your gift, even in the face of debilitating illness the past few years.

I regret that I don’t know much, if any of his deep cuts, but this has always been one of my all-time favorite songs:

Another Gord bites the dust. Damn.
This one hurts as much as the last. So long Mr. Lightfoot.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Heard about his passing on the drive into work today and of course being from Michigan the Edmund Fitzgerald is the first thing that comes to mind but the second is a cover of sundown and a pow segment from an old ski movie with people just roosting over the shoulder pow.. I found the song.. anyone else remember this segment?
