    Willie Nelson Turns 90

And celebrated with one hell of a two night show. Really wish I could’ve caught this run; that’s some incredible talent assembled.

I caught his Outlaw Tour last fall here with him and his family, Billy Strings, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Charley Crockett and others and it was fantastic; when he was joined onstage with all those musicians it was an absolute jam, I can only imagine what this birthday party must have been like.

    Right?

Billy Strings, Sturgill Simpson, Snoop, Chris Stapleton, Beck and Neil Young with Willie would have been more than enough to get my attention.

    Keith Richards even showed up.

    Good stuff.

Jamey Johnson; I saw him at a 400 seat venue with $2 canned domestics at the insistence of my buddy who was trying to educate me on modern country outlaw music. It was a blast and fun to expand my musical horizon to something I had no clue about.

Ahem, that's Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Willie Nelson.

Saw him play with Bob Weir last fall.

Jive radio (jiveradio.org) did a two hour set of Willie this PM.
Started with I hadn’t heard before

I can remember back around that time shooting pool in a bar on a weekend night, drinking beers and smoking cigs, Whiskey River blaring out of the jukebox. Good times!

He's a treasure - what a gift he's been with us all these years.
The past is a foreign country; they do things differently there.

Agreed! Love his solos… Two notes and you know exactly who it is. Like Django
