Not good news. The man was the epitome of FREE SKIER.
That is not how he should have checked out.
I'm sad that he could not see from where he was standing that there was more to come.

I guess I'll take my Legend Pro Riders out on the hill today. It won't do him justice but it's all I got/

I spoke with him a bit when he was at Cole Sport in PC, back in '10 or so. He was hopeful he could still turn things around.

Bummer that he couldn't get out of his own way.

I will be celebrating his legacy by rocking his skis this spring...

Known a lot of people who were awesome at things and stumbled or fell when it came to a substance.

He was an amazing skier, RIP.

Will never forget the first time watching him do huge turns in big terrain. Knew straight away that THAT was proper skiing.

Jeremy will be missed. We all know his demons, and he couldn't shake them. I will remember forever a guy that had a massive smile, a zeal for life, an honest pure love of skiing. I recall long conversations trying to figure out if we could get him out of jail in time to make the Alaska trip we had him planned for. (going back to his first Park City run in with the law). He was humble, and knew he had messed up, and just wanted to get back to the simplicity of skiing.

I remember a guy who was so strong and powerful, nothing like his mugshots. I remember a guy who flirted with my wife at the time (not knowing it was my wife) then warning me that I need to watch out for her.. damn was he right. I remember him just showing up to the office, no one expecting him, and trying to figure out where he was going to crash that night. He was a wild soul, love of life and full of zeal. Its how I will always remember him.

Yep, Jeremy had family. Not sure what happened to his parents, but I do know he has a sister, Shannon. I don't think he was ever married or had any children of his own.

His friends were his immediate family....still, so sorry to hear of the loss of the red haired kid that flew down mountains like no other and progressed a generation of skiers to get on bigger and better skis because of his skill in the steep and deep.

The shop guys at Jay hooked me up my first pow skis before I ever knew who “J Nobis” was. A great deal on a repaired blown out sidewall. Those skis changed my life and I will forever remember him because of those planks and how he ripped. Condolences to his friends and family.
