Dood. The FR110 big guns look sick. 193.5 TL, 2500 g/ski, mount at -7, reverse, HL Freeride layup. Curious how they’ll flex on snow; really looking forward to ride reports once they get out in the wild. Gawd, I want them all.

    192?!?
Same rocker profile as the 186, or perhaps a bit flatter?

Yah, not sure. The website spec sheet has the 192 listed as 193.5 TL. Definitely looking forward to hearing what MO has planned, and seeing the rocker porn when it’s out and about.

I was on the FL105s when I took this photo, but this is what you would be staring at when you drop into a wiggle. Typically they are around 1.5 meters deep but it can vary from knee deep to well overhead depending on the mountain and the snowpack.

I probably should know this but is that just skied in naturally or somewhat fabricated?

At the end of the season just store the wiggles next to the moguls!

    Honestly, I'm not sure.
Wasn't certain what a wiggle was until now

They're just trenched in with high speed repetition.

Usually a pack of shredders will set it with a couple intentional laps, then it's visible enough to attract others and gets deep over a few days.

But a good Wiggle has to be set at high speed, so you can stay in the damn thing when carving hard along the walls. Too tight and you get ejected.

    They are fun as hell.

Fascinating. People don't do that over here. Yet. Thanks for the illustrated explanation!

We’re counting on you to bring it across the pond.
Even a short wiggle can be fun. And would be easier for you to set by yourself. It could be on the way to or from one of your regular runs.
But it needs to be visible from the chair.

They set better and get deeper when the spring snow gets looser.

    PS. Switch wiggle? Unpossible!!

Hey Arild, you have missed the Riksgränsen banked slalom! End of season boarder thing going on there annually...

Setting the track with 113s, then.

Never knew! Hemsedal has had banked slalom for a few years, come to think of it.

Yah, we all want different things outta skis, but concur for sure; for me and my 195#, at a larger mountain, Squad suspension doesn't hold a candle to the 194 FL113s. The HL FL/FR layup is like one of those things you didn't know existed as a kid, but once discovered, made your life infinitely better (booze, drugs, Basic Instinct, to name a few). There are a lot of stiffer skis on the market on which I cannot find the top end, but the HL layup allows me to go those speeds, but the ride is smoothly unflappable. Found myself over flexing Squads in the alpine, but I am a traditional hack, so YMMV.

Marsh, June ski question for ya, if you have a sec and don't mind sharing your design thoughts? I believe you mentioned that the FR110s will be 2 ticks softer than FL113s, just curious if the flex profile is similar (ie. stiffer front half, softer tail)? Don't wanna mount too far back and neuter the tail a la R11s is my thinking, especially with some splay back there. TIA.

Awesome to hear someone who could actually ski the sender squads concur on that point. I knew you at least got on ok with the squads, whereas I was pretty quickly "nope nope nope" for my size and ability and mount point preferences

Yah, got on 'ok' is fair. The mount (at -2) was working for me, I just prefer a stiffer, less round flex, than Squads offer, as I didn't feel I could drive em much beyond maybe 30 cennies in front of the toe piece. That said, more versatile, and/or lighter, skiers than I, who prefer the tradeoffs of a rounder flex, I imagine could be/are stoked on em. This doesn't change my opinion of the suspension differences though, as I had no issue hauling ass on the Squads, just much prefer the heavier 113. I've yet to find a limit warning sign on 113s, regardless of snow type.
I'm really hoping the 192 FR110 will split the difference between Squads and FL113s; more 'fun' than FL113s for below tree line soft days or when doing alpine laps when in a Marley vice Megadeth headspace, but burlier than Squads in a straight line, even if being on the 27m R edge is a requirement, would be money. Will be fun to read the feedback when more folks get em on snow. Exciting times for sure.

Haha i only know of marshal and the two guys he lent them to that chimed in earlier that have actually ridden the fr110. but i would guess this is the most purchased ski yet based purely off people saying they want it.

And sylvan, fair enough on the squads vs fl113. I had the overworked (tails) problem and you seemed to have the undergunned (tips) problem. Somehow we both found better balance (me on the 187 though) and more plush/damp on the fl113!

    I'm in on the FR110!

    Now debating between the 186 & 193.

I have the 186 on order but been going back and forth on whether to change to 192. But I think my use case may lend itself to the 186 (thinking max fun/messing around in weird snow - think heavy pow, wind crusty, variable snow - and probably more trees). I’m 6/6’1, 80kg.

Or maybe I need one of each?
