    I got to thinkn

... Julie Brock did give us some pretty cool vouchers(did you set that up Gravity?)...Stowe was awesome due to our "tour guides" ...ah never been to Smuggs so can't vouch for shit there...but vinman always gives it high marks...is vinman always high? don't know.. will other ski areas give us a group deal?...do they really want maggots?
My list would be Stowe repeat..Smuggs...Jay Peak.

by the way Z...i knew you were kidding about okemo.
    i wasn't
by the way Gravity, i knew you weren't kiddn about bear creek.
the planets aligned for you that day..and the bar tender is very cute

    Saddleback?

    Maybe.
    No.

Sorry too far from the rest of the world, kinda like the Gaspe.

Burke works. And if the snow is good Cannon and Bretton Woods are really close.

If cannon has snow, it would be awesome. As long as everyone bundles up.

Last time I checked places like wildcat, saddleback, sugarloaf all had higher elevations than places like sugarbush, smuggs, jay and stowe(where the lift drops you off at least).

In that case, we should have our summit in maine or nh, or at Lake Placid.

And saddleback is only about another 20/30 minutes further than sugarloaf, so from boston about 4.5 hours. Compared to ~4 hours to get to stowe, and about the same to get to Jay, driving like a normal person. If we had the summit at Smuggs, you'd have to drive around the notch, so factor that in.

How about we decide where the snow looks the best, and go from there. Its still fall anyway....

but i say stowe, because it wont cost me anything.

why don't we hold our summit on Mars, since the moon summit was such a raging sucess last year why not step it up a notch

I have heard through the grapevine that there are places on Mars with 60,000 feet of vert, which would be sick.

    But are the natives friendly?

This would be my pick for a mini-mini. They need alot of snow to even make it worth a trip but with that said when it's good - it's great at Magic. It rivals any eastern mtns. No crowds, nice trees and steeps.

    my 2 cents

Smuggs for the EC summit - ride the mother.

This is true, Magic is one of those places where you don't really decide to hit until the night before/morning of.

how about we just give up and all meet up and ski spontaneously as some of us are apt to do? or, even better - wait until it starts snowing and see where its firing and then decide?

Why would you want to do that when you could plan, plan, plan and then get no snow?

You still in NYC? You should spontaneously come up and ski again. That day at Huntah was pretty good for Huntah and I think I still owe you a beer.
