hell yes! props to the sledders for saving a non-human fellow traveller. touching stuff. and yes a full size moose down there! if a moose that LIVES in the forest can end up in a treewell...

...and beyond the back/side country debate and the question of the utility of partners in the woods, we had a massive powday 5 years back in southern vt. about 42" of heavy snow. a boarder with friends ahead got himself buried head first after dropping a small cliff.
he was only discovered by the party behind him that spotted a board but no rider - and was rescued. he was taken to the hospital
and kept there overnight as he had suffered some lung scarring.
so to anyone who ridicules the danger of treewells, this was in-bounds with no trees involved.

that original vid is some scary shit. props to francis for knowing what to do and wasting no time. and great that it was all captured.
