Custom Veneer Praxis Piste Jibs 184cm

I’m going to be letting my 184 Heavy Core, Maple Veneer, 3+ Flex Pair of Praxis Piste Jibs go. 1 mount at -1cm for 295mm BSL with pivot 18s using binding freedom inserts.

Awesome resort ski, does well in pretty much any conditions up to 10”, super fun ski. My favorite praxis core layup for resort. Just going to something (much) more directional x

About 10 days on them, excellent shape. Bases, top sheets, edges have some small cosmetic scuffs but that’s about it. I made sure the bases were perfectly flat, and detuned tips and tails when I got them and gave them a good deep wax right off the bat. They were waxed again two days ago.

$425 flat, $650 with the pivot 18s. I’m located in Bay Area, CA, but I got to Tahoe often and I’m flying to Denver with them April 6th. Will ship if buyer pays.

Same pair would cost you $800 flat in the custom sale right now.

Could be open to trades for the new Gen Mantra 102 184cm or maybe J Skis Masterblasters.

    PM me if interested

I’ll also vouch for this build, I have the exact same layup + carbon and they rip. Handle a truly wide variety of snow conditions very well.

Exact build I'd want too, and had in my cart. I wish these didn't have those BF inserts.

Look at it this way. You don't have to plug any holes.

Custom Veneer Praxis Piste Jibs 184cm

I never really understood why people shy away from inserts. Instead of making a ski useless after 3 mounts, it can be used until the actual ski starts breaking down (which is usually long after many skis get 3 mounts them). I love having inserts on my skis, makes traveling a lot easier too if you can take the bindings off and throw them in your boot bag.

This baffles me as well. The only objection put forth is that they take up space for re-mounts.

Well, if you're using a 10mm c-c rule of thumb, then I'd argue that you can get closer (or at least as close).

If it really bothers someone you can plug the holes with fiberglass/epoxy, after removing the inserts with either an EZ-out or reverse threaded tap per the thread I started (recently resurfaced).

I could include a pair of well used but still work well Pivot 14s (lime Green) as well if anyone is interested.

    $500 for the whole setup
