    WTB: 178 helio 104/105

I got some zero g 105’s for a fat mountaineering /spring setup, and I’m not inspired by the tails. More rocker and less power than I hoped. Helio looks flatter, and lighter too. If you’ve got 185’s I’d consider that as well, and trim with the angle grinder 🤠

Hmmm, I’ll read up on them. Pretty flat tail? Stiff/good edge hold? Price?

I've got a pair of 178s with one ski that's deformed and has extra-early early rise... You can have them for free if you can find another single 175 to combine with my single good one or if you want to ride them wonky. I posted some photos here: https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...05s?highlight=

    That’s a kind and generous offer! I
Think i will pass however, in hopes of finding a pair with fewer miles…

I can take some pictures tonight, but pretty flat

    I find they are stiff

    Do you want binding?

Currently mounted with a prior generation ATK raider, no brakes, has free ride spacer

There’s a set of helio 105s at the local consignment shop in a 185cm for $174. I didn’t check to see if they’ve been there long enough to haggle, but the bases looked great. They looked like they were probably cosmetic blems, some of the carbon you could see through the clear topsheet section was a little imperfect.

Looked like 1.5 or 2 mounts, but a decent amount of room between holes.

Let me know if you’re interested in more info.

    WTB: 178 helio 104/105

Climber Joe, Thanks for the thoughtfulness- I’m going to check out a buddies 185’s this week and see how practical it would be to chop em down. Will get back to you after- also, your inbox is full…
    Pm sent to kevino.

I have never heard anyone say good things about the Helio 104/105 skis. I use the Dynafit Beast 108 in that slot but it may be too rockered for your preferences. I have friends who like the Scott Superguide Freetour and Atomic Backland 107.

Hey thanks everyone; I think cutting down 185’s might not be ideal, and 178’s haven’t turned up. I might just keep trying with the zero g and get better at skiing. Thanks for the efforts though .
