Can a jury say "we find for no one"? Because unless there is testimony from unbiased witnesses that should be the verdict.
As far as the plaintiff's story changing--first of all he had a concussion so any "recollection" he has would be based on what he was told and on "memories" he has formed since. And second--the crash occured in 2016. You'd expect witnesses' and principles' stories to change over time. The most suspicious story would be one that stays exactly the same.

I saw a crash at Mammoth recently. A skier--bigger, and a boarder--teen with a race bib--came around opposites sides of a lift in front of the lodge and collided head on. Neither more at fault. Skier got the worst of it--knee. Snowboarder checked on the skier and was told everything OK before he left. Skier looked a little dazed, took a while to get up. The skier didn't call patrol; I did and gave her my story before she checked skier. I figured the guy had been dazed enough he needed to be assessed and that there should be a record of what happened in case there are repercussions--like the skier goes home and dies from a bleed in the head.
