    FS Elan Ripstick 106, 188

    sold

With Atomic branded Shifts and pre-cut skins.

Put this together as a quiver of one to take to Europe this year. Unfortunately my trip didn’t happen.

Skied 2 powder days at the resort and did two short tours. Tours well and skis very well, especially for a light ski.
Shifts have maybe 10 days on them. Zero issues.
    Actual ski length 184.5

Mounted for 305 bsl. Barely a nick or skuff anywhere.

$575 shipped USA for the package. $300 for ski and skins.

I have a pair of black edition 188cm ripstick 106's and they do not ski short. They're rockets. I love em, but they def don't ski like 184 in my opinion (and that's the length I've skied in almost every other ski I have). I also would not consider them a light ski at over 1900g/each. And these have shifts so that's like 2.5kg on each foot. Not since my Rocker2/Guardian 16 days...They're fantastic in bounds, but thinking about taking them uphill with any regularity now sounds like a weight training expedition. My $.02. $300 is a pretty solid price for the skis and skins.

I agree, they don’t ski short. They have less rocker than other skis in this category like the QST106.

They'll ski true to length, which, as OP noted is 184.5, not 188 as claimed by Elan. Elan really screwed up the stated measurements on this ski. (Not sure about the black edition, but these are not the black edition obviously.)

black edition is the same overall shape but has two additional carbon rods (or something like that) to make them a little stiffer than the non-black (OP's) edition. I'll concede the difference in ski performance I notice between these at 184.5 and my 2 other skis in the 184-185 length may be the differences in rocker profile with those skis (making those ski short, and the ripsticks ski truer to 185 due to more traditional shape).
