Anyone else getting time on these?
Initial impressions after 3x days. One no new snow day, one low vis pow storm day, one wind effected pow day. 184cm mounted on directional line, -2cm of rec.
Ski short. I’m confident I could ski the 191 no problems. fairly damp, not much pop/life in the cambered zone. extremely easy to ski, very intuitive, they just work no thinking required. Slashing very easy. Want to be skied from the centre of the ski more than driving the tip.
Pretty fun ski, not as impressive first impression as the BO118, but fun. Not powerful enough to blow through chop like the 118.
DD is 186cm Rossi Sickle and the SF110 feel like a snowblade on hard pack with the much shorter running length, rocker-camber-rocker design and more taper than the full reverse of Sickle.
The 21m turn radius is noticeable in pow, the ski wants to hook and turn a bit and needs to be directed into a longer radius. Easy to correct/adapt but this doesn’t happen with the Sickle despite the same radius.
Great work ski. don’t have to think about skiing at all, they just do what I want. Easy to run a Tbog in deep pow. No issues in bumps. Very rocky at Kicking Horse and so far no issues with damage.
Got these to try them out as I was very curious. The HL FR110 has a good chance of replacing them next winter. See what Marshall comes up with.
