    Blizzard Hustle ski

Didn't find a dedicated thread. Thought I would post this if anyone was looking for it as a primarily touring ski. Found mentions of the Hustle 11 and 10 and also GregL mini review in the Blizzard master thread.

Have 180s weighed at 1845 and 1862g. Mounted with Marker Alpinist LT on recommended line

Just toured on them one day so far on Atomic Backland XTD. Initial runs had me feeling the nearly flat ramp of the Alpinist bindings had me upright so changed the Backland boot forward lean from factory set 15deg to 17 degrees. The Hustle skied well in manicured groomers but that wasn't a surprise.

Then toured pretty much perfect snow on northerly aspects with short radius and medium turns. I've heard the Hustle is more of a happy medium between the so-comfortable at speed ZG108 (how I regret selling my pair) and the sometimes twitchy ZG105 so am keen to try some terrain where the skis can run.

The Hustle/Backland combo didn't feel so good in tight trees on the ski out from the glacier back inbounds but that quite possibly was the boots being so far forward pitched. It's been a while since I was on a 17 deg forward lean; every time I felt I was on tip toes. Will try cut up snow and revert back to 15 degrees forward lean to see if it was boots or skis.

2nd on the "regret selling my Zero G 108" sentiment. Guy I sold them to is still loving them, though.

Better to have love and lost than to have never loved at all or whatever.

I regret not picking up ZG108’s when I had the chance.

Like I said I found the ZG 105s to be a bit too nervous especially compared to the ZG108 which is my reason for the regret. Maybe I'm on wishful thinking crack but after dialing in boots to suit the Alpinist flat ramp, I'm really bonding with these skis. The Hustle 10s in 180s sure seem to love going straight and fast. Kind of like the ZG108.

Just 5 days on them so far and only those 2 pows day so maybe getting a bit too excited/optimistic.

The 188's i demo'd last season could feather through scrapey hardpack glades almost without effort, it was a bit crazy how intuitive the ski responded to input especially regarding when you wanted the edges to grip. Mach 1's.
