BC heliskiing spot 50% off, March 25-28, I can't go last minute
Heliskiing spot available at a 50% discount.
Stewart, British Columbia, March 25-28.
Fantastic friendly group of skiers. I went once before: exceptional in all respects, snow, terrain, community, lodging, food, everything first rate. Suitable for every level from professional to expert to advanced to intermediate --- groups of 4 are batched by level, and you can push it as hard or take it as easy as you want.
I planned to go but a work conflict is grounding me, drat. Take my spot, don't let the powder go to waste!
March 25-28 ski days, travel days flanking. Guided. 57500 vertical feet guaranteed. Fab accommodation. Use of powder skis / boards if desired.
US$9200 original price, now US$4600. Contact for details & to see if it's a fit.

So roughly $3400 USD? Killer for anyone that can make it happen.

God damnit, spring break trip with the family, otherwise, would have LOVED this, especially at that price.
Should I ditch them???!?

I’m moderately interested.
Is this Bell2 lodge? Single room?
Last Frontier’s website kind of sucks.
Do you fly into Terrace? Pickup included?
Can I dovetail a visit to Shames?
Can I actually ski with XXX?

It'd be Ripley Creek. There is a pickup from YXT - Terrace airport and that's included. Approx 2 hr bus-ride. You can absolutely visit and ski Shames and you should.
I'm not the OP fwiw but have toured around the area and it's magnificent. Northern BC is having a really good year.

Lee:
Thank you.
Would Shames be better , before or after? Is there a ski shuttle to Shames?
Where would one stay?
Is touring gear required at Shames?
I’d probably just bring my BMT94’s to ski Shames and ski the heli op’s skis.
Would XXX even ski with a yank?

XXXer is in Smithers which is a bit far from Terrace. There are some Terracites I could introduce you and there's Gary who'd show you around
You don't need touring gear for Shames but there's so much slackcountry that's easy to hit it's a shame not to have it. Eg Zymacord Trees or Cats - skin up 100m from the T-bar; ski down 800 m to the base then take lifts back up.
For Terrace - stay with locals here - https://www.skeenariverhouse.com/about. Reasonably priced. Brad knows his terrain so well and the place is awesome.
There was a weekend shuttle bus but it isn't running this year. Again, probably can hook you up with locals.
Pulling the 16day it looks pretty good for Shames. Forecasts are not too bad for Terrace so this looks favourable - ie it stays cold with temps just above freezing even at Shames base at 800m or so. So I'd try to get there before the trip

If I didn't already have plans I would jump on this. Cool area, watch Insomnia than hope you can fly each day.

Thanks for all the info!
Looks like the trip of a lifetime.
Unfortunately, looks like the logistics of getting there, are a little too much for me.
Hopefully this conversation sparks someone else’s interest.
