    Belize Service Trip for Teenagers

    Hey mags!

I'm gonna do a little promotion here for a close friend's (Dr. Aileen Hale, International Education Specialist) service trip down to Belize--and self promotion because I made the poster and will hopefully lead one of the groups.

I figure lots of you have kids eh? Kids you want to get out of the house and off their devices during the summer? I partook in a similar project after graduating from highschool, visiting Costa Rica for a month and working at an incredible eco-lodge, it was transformative to say the least. The exposure to different cultures opened my mind in so many ways that I am grateful for now.

Give your kids (middle-high school aged) this experience with a week long trip to Belize. The trip runs from July 14th to the 23rd with two days of a Mayan excursion, five days of a language-based service project, and three days on Caye Caulker (this part alone is enough to get me there).

We are scrambling to get people signed up in the next month so please help us spread the word and open this door to kids! If you have any questions, feel free to write me or contact the boss lady, Aileen Hale at aileenhale@gmail.com.

But Belize city 30 years ago was pretty sketch.
Not quite as bad as Kingston. But not far off.
I’d love to send my boys. It would open their eyes for sure.
