I have had a camosun and like it a lot but if doing it all over I would have just gotten a Therm.

Mostly chose the camosun for the removable hood, but I don’t think I’ve taken it off a single time.

Picked it up today, def rad jacket. Arc'teryx fits me well. I would not pay 7 hunge but 275$ like new couple smudges works fine for me. I'll use it for a half decade at least

Did you buy this “coat” for walking the dog or will you use it for skiing?

Skiing everyday all winter. I like a loose comfy jacket. I'm not ripping around in high heat high intensity. Mostly skiing mellow and not generating heat. Obviously spring is a different deal.

They are definitely from the urban line. Better suited for waiting for the bus than physical activity.

I’ve worn my Camosun on a couple really cold ski days, but they aren’t really designed as active wear. Easy to overheat if you get moving, no technical features like pit zips, powder skirts, or lots of pockets.

Back when I had an urban commute with walking/public transit that’s exactly what I wanted for waiting for a train on a cold windy platform. Kids today don’t want to wear heavy wool overcoats…this gives you a subtle goretex option that doesn’t look like you’re about to climb a mountain.

Sitting on a chairlift in January February in Montana Wyoming. Cold storm days wind is blasting etc. This is the solution.

On a related note, did anyone watch the Last of Us and notice Ellie was given an obvious late-2010s/early-2020s Arc’teryx urban line parka in Jackson?

In a show that paid so much attention to detail, it felt off to me that they are suddenly handing her a crispy gotetex parka that looks nothing like the jackets that were common when civilization ended in 2003.
