Both of these games are terrible. Is it Thursday Night Football?

    That Cincy game was painful.

I’m not complaining as a fan of another AFC North team, but man there’s something weird going on in the Queen City.

Maybe you’re just blinded by the incompetence in CLE or the Bengals of last three or so years, but from an outsider’s long-term analysis: seems totally normal.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Incompetence can be exciting to watch. The games last night were a snoozefest.

I'm used to Browns incompetence. You can set your watch to it.

The Bengals have been to the last 2 AFC title games with a high-powered offense. I've seen 2 of their games this year: the first, a week 1 loss to my Browns where they put up all of 3 points and the NFL's highest paid player was pulled from the game with over 5 minutes remaining, and the second, whatever that was last night.

Burrow not playing in the preseason couldn't possibly account for that on-field product.

As my friend EWG pointed out upthread, no one does incompetence like the Browns. It's not even close. It's exciting, it's exhilarating, it's wild to see what new ways they'll find to bring it all crashing back to earth. Never boring.

The Bengals and Eagles will be fine. They will play their best ball in December.

Looking ahead, my Sunday and Monday nights will be football free this week as we get a double dose of East Rutherford, NJ.

NYC sports radio Tuesday morning should be in full on meltdown mode.

If I were Taylor Swift, I'd avoid MetLife this Sunday. Jets fans could go full Eagles and start rioting.

If I were Zach Wilson I'd avoid MetLife this Sunday for the same reason.

Like any good boyfriend, Travis needs to protect her.

Going to MetLife next week will be like going to the garbage dump to watch the rats fight over scraps of rotten food.

The man is always looking for an edge. They call it the Tuscaloosa Tickle.

"Mac, dick punch Sauce, and on the next play hit Pharaoh Brown on a go route."

All is well with the Jets. The team is signing QB Trevor Siemian today.

    Not so fast.

Re Salah's continued public support of Sack Wilson...

[Jets beat reporter] Cimini said there are signs of serious internal tension with the Jets following Sunday’s defeat.
“Trust me, there’s tension in that locker room,” he added. “On Tuesday morning, an off day for players, I was told that this is a hot topic among players in the locker room. I get the sense from what I’ve seen on the sideline and what I’m hearing that this team could be ready to implode.”

What's the worse coaching malpractice here? Putting a 39 yo QB behind a garbage O line, or not having a viable backup in place for when the inevitable happened?

I'm just sad that Ayahuasca Aaron didn't get chased around for at least a few games before he got broken in half.

Week 3, folks. Who had Week 3 for total implosion of the JETS?

I like that Spiritual Guide Rodgers gave some left handed support to Zach yesterday while simultaneously telling "I could just kiss you" Namath, "your comments aren't helping".

Is that endearing? I don't know.

I think Zach and Woody should let A-aron take them on a vision quest somewhere far from Lot A at MetLife stadium--at least for a few weeks until things cool off a bit. Trevor can feed the animals until they get back. Hopefully this gives everyone a chance to cool down and refocus on the task at hand.
