Sounds like a fun way to spend the day. Appreciate all the info.

Just got back from Morocco and for anyone planning a trip to ski while in Marrakech here are a few updates on the resort. My 8 year old daughter and I did a day trip from Marrakech to escape the city

    - the access road is in rough shape in parts due to the 2023 earthquake but they are working on the worst sections. Wasn't really an issue but the road wasn't icy when we went
    - really poor snow year this year but sounds like the lifts haven't spun for at least 3 years at minimum
    - snowed 2-4 cm the night prior so at least there was some coverage
    - legit terrain if have decent coverage
    - can still rent 40+ year old gear and sleds
    - rented skis and boots while my 8 year old preferred just to sled
    - had a great tangine and mint tea apres session at one of the local restaurants

All in all a pretty unique experience. While we didn't get a legit ski day, the few turns, views and experience was well worth the 90 min drive from the Medina. Would love to return one day with touring gear when they have a good snowpack. Click image for larger version.

Glad to see you made the trip. Certainly a unique experience. Sad to hear the resort is inactive. Wish I could see the pics but this site continues to be a disaster.
