The Dark Side of the Moon

    Released 50 years ago today!

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_...de_of_the_Moon

I first heard it all the way through at a friend’s house playing on his Dad’s state-of-the-art Bang & Olufsen turntable. High, of course. Only the best Mexican.

Been through 2 copies on vinyl and 3 cds. Ageless.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

My kid fell asleep to that album every night for about 9 months.

    She's fine now.

Yup. Slept through time. Yes, that's fucked up.

I may not be the best father...

Interesting how after all these years just listening to The Great Gig in the Sky and the tears begin to fall. Passage of time, change, loss. But then morning comes around, find a reason to get out of bed, make that money, pay those bills. Life goes on.

    Until it don't.

EDIT: If you've made it this far you might just enjoy this article, and various links embedded therein...

    Sacrilege or stupendously ballsy?

FLips and Rollins take on DSotM:

And if that weren’t enough, FLips also made a companion album called Flaming Side of the Moon:
