    PAGING TELLEEE- Is this BS?

    https://www.theverge.com/2023/2/6/23...pture-concrete

Seems like BS ways to get paid "Carbon Credits" and pass the sniff test. Lee- you ever hear of such nonsense in the bridge making world? This is the first I have heard of it, and Gates is very much involved with Jeff Vinik and Strategic Property Partners here in Tampa.

I’ve heard of this technology. As the article says, there are two main reasons to not break out the champagne. Scalability is not yet demonstrated, and there hasn’t been a full independent analysis of every process step to determine the true net footprint.

    Still interesting and potentially promising.

There are a lot of things going on in the concrete world to reduce carbon footprints, this is one of several. From what I have read and sat through presentations on it, I think it is mostly lip service. Will it do what they say? Yes. Will it be enough to make much of an impact? I highly doubt it. There are other concrete technologies that seem to hav more of an impact on the industry.
