Also, to the pearl clutchers: Manfred is in like Frankie https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...chers-next-wbc

    Much to my surprise.

Off the bench: 100mph heater, 88mph slider. This guy is unreal.

    ETA: Ohtani v. Trout. Wow.

EETA: MVP right there. Hat tip. Incredible baseball for Ohtani and Japan. Incredible game!

Ohtani got struck out by a 5’8” Czech electrician, then a week later strikes out Mike Freakin’ Trout to win the WBC. What a tournament.

Ohtani: 102mph fastest pitch; fastest baserunner; closed out the tournament win; hit .435, .606 OBP, 8 RBI, 9R, 3G, 2W 1S for the tournament.

I know Old Goat may have been alive to see the Babe, but none of us have seen a player like this. Just insane.

That was fun to watch. Ohtani is simply amazing. Fun tournament that I had low expectations for going in . Doesn't hurt watching Turner and knowing he will be in a Phils uniform next week

That game had all of the excitement of a playoff game, only without that nauseous feeling.

I have a feeling Mookie and Trout will be thinking about those ninth inning at bats for a while.

Gonna be hard to get back into watching Spring Training games after last night lol. Really had mixed feelings about the Ohtani vs Trout ending. Super exciting, historical even but felt so contrived. Amazing to witness though.

I knew very little about the WBC going into it. Was travelling in Quebec last week and stumbled across some of the Spanish teams playing, broadcast en francais and I couldn't get enough of it - the action, atmosphere, amazing players, some famous, many not. Cool stuff, looking forward to the next one.

As a Cleveland fan, the most surefire sign of spring is watching it snow feet at The Jake on Opening Day.

Rhys Hoskins carted off for the Phillies. Why are we letting our star players play in spring training?

Poor guy sucks defensively...zero footwork. Shouldn't of happened....just my 2 cents of course. I would of liked to see him traded months ago.

What a joke that the A’s are the fifth most profitable team. If an owner makes absolutely no attempt to win, they should lose all revenue sharing.

On a related note, I saw today that Ken Griffey Jr. is currently the third highest paid Cincinnati Red for 2023 at $3.5. These cheap ass owners need to sell. $3.5 would be like the 13th highest paid Dodger.

    That’s hilarious.

Did it take new ownership for Bobby Bonilla to get bumped off page 1 of the Mets’ payroll?
