Vintage Kershaw, Mookie raking, and JD is officially the best bargain in baseball. Let’s get another W tonight.

    Read, then post, then basepipe.
No I didn't see it as YES makes sure mlb have it blacked out in the tri state area. See above.
But on the radio I heard he made the catch in the bullpen which is not in the field of play so it should of been a hit...

Yeah too bad they haven’t torn it down and built the worlds most boring stadium that’s undistinguishable from a regional airport terminal.

Guardos, thanks to the rerun of Aaron Civale and Dr Sticks McKenzie off the IL and two incredible performances (10K for Dr Sticks today), and the offense retuning to form, come back and take the last two against Minnesota.

Freak out put on pause for now as everything seems to be rounding into form.

Fun fact: the the Guardos have played more 1-run games than anyone this year to the tune of one less than half of their games. Makes for very fun or very angry watching.

As a kid I hated it but now I think it’s pretty cool. I’m tired of all the trendy tinbox baseball parks. Bring back the astrodome

    Ain’t that the truth.

Being on the short end of a 1 run game is about as painful as baseball gets.

Now do that 25+ times so far and it get really fucking old.

The catch was great. But good lord, ESPN acting like it supplanted Mays as the greatest catch of all time is a little much. Did we really need a 15 minute investigation during the game?

You probably saw today’s game. That slurping sound emanating from Chavez Ravine is quite loud…

Bally Sports missed last payment, so Padres no longer locally blacked out on mlb.tv. And I get mlb.tv for free via t-mobile. Will be interesting if this is the beginning of the end cable deals for the smaller market teams.

I know that owners are coming around to the idea that the few million dollars they make on those deals could be recouped in increased advertising prices for in stadium ads, and by increased ticket and merch sales if they can get more fans of the team. To me, getting as many people to watch a game as possible is the only way for a team to grow, so making all games free to watch makes sense.
