Other than Bard dragging his gas can out to the mound and burning the place down, this has been a fabulous game. Time for the US hitters to come through and give the world a Cuba/USA game in Miami.

i know everyone likes to raz me about judge but i am such a fan of the guy and just seeing the talkin yanks drops with his season projection for me so stoked. he played more games in center last year than anywhere and without him the yanks were nothing last year, it’s kind of hard to appreciate if you don’t watch them.

in the second half without dj, the carpenter bonds show, benintendi etc he hit 0.3490.5020.784

it’s so dominant and he just plays hard on both sides. if you have a guy like him or shohei or jram on you’re team you’re just lucky to get to follow along.

Sadly, an away game for the home team.

    Can't wait!

Altuve out for a couple months with a broken thumb. Nobody seems as upset about this as with Diaz. Can’t quite figure out why……

I wonder if it will be. The relationship for Cuban Americans with their home country is a little different than with the other Caribbean and Latin countries. Should be a fun game either way. I wish I was there.

This Japan - Mexico tilt just got real exciting.

Incredible atmosphere there. Mexico's unis are tight.

Watching Japan bunt makes me realize how poorly we bunt the ball in this country.

Based on the amount of people that have been watching the Japan games, it’ll definitely be the most watched baseball game of all time. What a tournament! My prediction is that in 2026 the US players will be fighting to get in the team. The pitching staff will be as loaded as this lineup is.

Ohtani could be available in relief today which means he could possibly face Trout.

Anyone who wouldn't want to see that just isn't a baseball fan.

Frankie is all-in on the WBC much to the consternation of those who'd rather see players risk injury in meaningless Spring Training games.

I think this is pretty cool.

The Guardians announced today that they will be offering a $49/month Ballpark Pass which allows you into the Jake, standing room only. Given the success of "The Corner" in right field where they took out all the seats and made bar-height drink rails for each row and wide open seating areas around a bar that has rolltop windows/doors for when the weather is shitty, combined with how they're going to do the same thing with a couple spots in the upper deck next year, this seems like a great way to get more social-minded fans inside the gates.

If I lived and worked near a ballpark that offered something like this I'd absolutely do it. Few innings over lunch, grab a beer after work for a couple innings...

they’re talking about batting averages going up with the elimination of the shift and it’s just so many changes at once. even if i like the change i am rooting against it because i hate manfred so much.
