No Yankees, Giants, or Padres. If only the Astros would have choked we could have had an entire postseason without the most annoying fanbases in the league.

instead we are stuck with the Dodgers, the least aware annoying fans. you won an * series after 1988. If you can’t get the joy of Yankees or Giants bamdwagoneers winning something after a long drought…..

So apparently Trevor Bauer has come out from under his rock in Japan as his and Lindsey Hill's suits were both dropped today with no money being exchanged after he was able through discovery to obtain previously withheld pictures and texts from her phone that didn't help her case. As with anything, it seems there was more to this story than what was previously reported.

Bauer is a prick and not a sympathetic character, but I have to wonder, does he ever pitch in MLB again after all this?

He’s generally been an asshole, which didn’t help but it looks to me like this was a setup from the beginning. Her text messages and video is pretty damning. I still doubt he ever pitched in MLB again.

My WC predictions are Tampa in 2, Brewers in 3, Phillies in 2, and Jays in 3.

The Rangers GM said that was BS reporting, they did not get drunk and were not hungover. Yes, they celebrated more than the Astros but given how frequently each team has been to the playoffs recently, that is understandable. And quite frankly, the idea that they would actually get drunk with a very meaningful game left is pretty out there.

Angel Hernandez fired from the Umpire’s Association, won’t umpire another game. According to multiple sources.

In either case the Rays looked like the hungover team.

And what a shitty atmosphere at the Trop. Probably 35% off the seats were empty. Night and day different than Twins fans.

This can’t be true because nothing good ever happens with Angel.

That was reported by Fax Sports. Basically the onion of baseball. Angel will never be gone.

Excellent set up and punchline fellas.

I saw Angel was on the crew for Tito’s final game and when he did lineup cards Tito was cordial with everyone but there was no hugging it out with Angel which I thought was funny.

So I just heard a lawyer go over the decision and while the woman involved is also certainly a piece of work and misled the court significantly, the courts made it clear there was still some violence and battery she didn’t consent to, just that the likelihood of it occurring again was low enough that a restraining order wasn’t called for.

So I’m not sure this is the clear retribution he’s making it out to be.

Such a great game! Those two insane catches by Taylor in center and the Correa throw to home saved the game for them. I grew up watching Kirby and loving the Twins and seeing them finally break the streak isn't something I'll forget soon.

    Wow. Congrats Twinkies.

Tito and the Guards today announced that he will continue on in a to be defined capacity with Cleveland. This makes me happy.

Oh good. Some sort of player development role would be perfect for him I think

He officially announced his retirement today alongside GM Chris Antonetti when they both made the announcement that he will stay in Cleveland. In his usual, self deprecating and hilarious way, he said “look I know it’s a low bar, but being here has made me so much better of a person”.

He said that he doesn’t foresee managing again, but he also doesn’t want to be completely out of the game, and he said he could imagine no better place for himself to stay in the game, then with the Guardians organization.

Player development would be a perfect role for him - so much baseball knowledge that I would love to be able to have those guys tap into.

Both of these games are in the fifth but the Philly game started an hour later.

Brewers have used half their bullpen.
