Cincy is having a month! Happy for that club; I see so many of their stars playing all over the league.

Horrible uniforms tonight though. Are they mimes?

Blue and yellow. The Boston Marathon colors. I like them, but they are certainly polarizing.

Not like the Udder Tuggers uniforms, which are amazing.

The most Mets-y of Mets outings today. Up by 3 going into the bottom of the 8th. The Phillies walked three times, were hit twice, reached on an error and had just one hit in the four-run inning to take the lead (and teh game).

Been a good series, watching the stream of game 3 right now. Cincy has a lot of young talent. Their pitching needs a bit of work.

Bravos-Reds had a playoff feel to it for sure thanks to the 12-game win streak by the Redlegs.

And thanks for the background on those Boston city unis; makes much more sense now even if I'm not a fan.

Looking at the East divisions, does anyone feel like the Mets are this close to a clubhouse meltdown one of these days?

And is the Yanks' offense really that Judge-dependent?

did you miss last season when carp got injured and judge went into a mini slump and they didn’t win for six weeks?

the amount of production they get from donaldson/stanton for the dollars would have gotten any gm fired in the history of the game but here we are with half the guys out of position and a bunch of bats that are completely silent. it’s crazy how hard it is for them to score runs even with judge, but without, last in runs, 2nd to last in obp and ba… goes on and on.

fortunately the pitching has been nails and they’re hanging in

in other news, manoah just gave up 11 in 2 and change…. in single A!?

Josh Donaldson is really good at extracting large amounts of money from MLB general managers and delivering little more than an annoying personality in the clubhouse in return. Made a career of it really.

I remember a few years ago when they were trying to make him one of the stars of the league and everyone was so just like, “yeah, we’re good.”

Very, very, very rarely is there a headline that starts “Twins exec opens up over fleecing other team on trade”

Lol. I’m extremely grateful to be a fan of a club with a front office that routinely wins trades, year in, year out (because they have to in order to survive). I’m also glad the Twins are in our division (and I actually like them unlike those insufferable Southside Ozzie Guillen ball garglers).

And for the record I always thought Jeff Kent had a good attitude about being a disliked player; anyone remember that ESPN The Magazine commercial where he was the pitch man and they just kept putting more and more logos over his face? Lol.

Guardos-Royals game in KC right now and the tv crew just noticed the scoreboard operator must be a Crimson Tide fan, cause they’re using the Alabama “A” and crimson background for the Atlanta Braves logo on the “scores around the league board” ha!

Right? They won that Series very much how these Guardos play, killer Starters, lockdown Pen, and scrappy, hustling, 1-run wins any way you can.

Then they sold it all off like it was covered in fleas never to return to glory.

They're usually pretty good a developing good young talent, then trading it all away as soon as they have to pay them.

Kauffman is a fun place to watch a game, at least. For some reason people still show up to the games.
