Of course he says he disagrees lol. You think he's going to admit "yeah he was feeding me upcoming pitches but it wasn't electronic so it's legal"

So to summarize - Jays are young and cocky. They talk shit. Man oh man that is so annoying.

And Yankees cheat, but it's one guy and he's dumb so no worries, right?

At least admit your comment about the 'booth' was offside.

Not really, the booth in real time was insinuating cheating.

“You don’t wanna go throwing allegations around without knowing, but…”

Buck then said he was trying to catch a look at where the catcher was. It was terrible, I guess you weren't watching then?

to me it looks like he was looking at the dugout, not first base.

    https://twitter.com/thecomeback/stat...cers-eyes.html

To summarize, nothing happened. certainly nothing that was against the rules but if you want to be young and cocky and talk tons of shit perhaps try being good at baseball first.

Had it on in the background but not going to pretend I know word for word what was said. If this is your 'gotcha' ok cool, but you've shifted from your initial twitter soundbite that this was based on.

Disagree. Yankees were caught red handed cheating. Yet you're fixated on the Jays being dinks. I tend to think the cheating thing is the bigger deal here but what do I know?

I just don't see it as "The Yankees were cheating". Pitchers cheat. Hitters cheat. Unless it is systemic I don't think you tag the whole team with it.

And no, I didn't start with changing my premise. I've been irate about it them calling Judge a cheater since it happened, and they have done nothing to deescalate. The manager was a douche, the announcers the next day were douches. douches all the way down.

    OFFICIAL 2023 MLB THREAD!!!!

You’re forgetting that according to EPB and ESPN, the Yankees are as infallible as Jesus Christ himself. Nobody has been treated worse in the last 2000 years than Aaron Judge was last night.

So you believe a pitcher is going to cheat, without any knowledge or involvement from management? Really?!

I 100% believe starters don't run cheating by the manager.

Not even Boone would be dumb enough to approve this, for instance:

Isn't the ump that tossed German the one that got Scherzer?

If you want dumb radio guys, take a listen to the White Sox booth post-game last night where they were so overjoyed to have finally beat the Guards after Cleveland mopped the floor with em last year and swept em out of contention in September. They even went so far as to bring up how they were pissed the Guards celebrated in their house when they clinched the division last year. Only problem is, the Guards clinched in Texas, not Comiskey. Details.

It reminded me of how Browns fans get all fired up when they get a first down against the Steelers cause ya know, rivalry. And then the Steelers are like, we don't even think about you, this hasn't been a rivalry for years. We haven't thought about you since Ozzie Guillen was a classless fuck in the dugout, but thanks ChiSox; the 15-28 Sox.

Cement in the shoes, cement in the gloves, now cement on the jerseys.

Should have been Waffle House, tbh.

    Edit:

I’m thinking about the golden opportunities you’d have for in-game sponsorships with Waffle House. Like they’d donate $1,000 for every bench clearing brawl during the season.

Send the mascot into a vat of syrup after every home run.

An on-field contest to see who can throw a chair the furthest.

    Waffle cannon. Enough said.

the umps seem to have a lot of discretion here. was it nothing? he said the black fur on his new glove tinted his hand or something. but really, how come sometimes they say to wash up and other times it’s a ban? schmidt has been shitty this year, but the reds aren’t the dodgers, either.

Umpire Brian O'Nora to pool reporter on Schmidt: "It wasn't shiny. It wasn't dark like pine tar. It was that fuzz from the inside part of his glove.. As a crew we told him to go wash it off. He washed it off; nothing was on his hand. It wasn't sticky & it wasn't a foreign substance."

huh that’s weird, guess he wasn’t cheating at all.

the other thing is that the checked german’s hand every inning. so he was using rosin and then all at once he decides to use pine tar? fkn weird

Aaron Hicks DFA'd. The wheels are coming off in the Bronx. He was the glue that held the whole thing together.
