I gotta say, the new MLB ads promoting the new rules are great. I generally despise advertising in all of it's forms, but these are so simple, legitimately funny and seemingly effective.

Guardos take 3 out of 4 off a very good Seattle team in their house.

Bats and arms all looking good. Stoked!

enjoying the season quite a bit but i wish we could get the damn robot umps already. i hate the idea that the calls “even out”. they sure don’t when your team loses and it’s so unnecessarily subjective. not to mention that the umps just get worse and worse as they get blinder and slower with age. give them an earpiece already and the game gets even faster.

on an unmentioned plus side, how about these day games? pretty cool. now on to a tough series against Philly to see what happens.

    Baseball rules.

The umps have been sooooo bad already. I saw a ball six inches off the plate called a strike. I wonder if the home plate umps are also getting used to having to watch the pitch clock also?

    But yeah. Robot umps yesterday!

Let’s hear what Angel Hernandez has to say about it first before we pass judgement.

Fair. We should let him and CB Bucknor make the final call (which they will miss, obviously)

The fact that baseball fans (and court systems) know the names of the Umps speaks for itself.

i don’t know if you guys follow that ump scorecard account on twitter but it’s pretty amazing. there are games where they get 80% of the calls right. like wtf, only so many land in the mitt, are they even trying?

    Samesies.

Only thing I hate, as I was reminded last night despite the positive outcome, is the stupid runner on 2nd in extras rule.

If it's not good enough for the postseason then it shouldn't be good enough for the regular season.

Hearing the crowd chant down the pitch clock is going to take some getting used to I'm sure.

Good to see the Twins postpone the home opener for “inclement weather” and postpone the game to tomorrow when the high is expected to be 20F higher than today. Note: no snow or rain, and the stains that schedule mlb games had a twins home opener that barely broke freezing

Travis Kelce with possibly the most embarrassing first pitch of all time. Of course it’s in Cleveland.

And his mom was there to see him almost injure Shane Beiber with it (along with Donovan Mitchell and most of the other Cavs and Browns)

At least he always reps CLE hard.

Most embarrassing of all time? That still belongs to former Cincinnati mayor Mark Mallory who managed to put it in the Reds dugout directly from the mound.

Big series starting today with the bombers vs the gourds. wish that 2/3 games weren't being started by domingo german and clarke schmidt, but stealing another series W would be pretty cool.

Anyone buying the Rays or is this the result of a little luck and the softest minor league schedule anyone has ever had to start a season? Maybe the Red Sox bring them back to earth a bit with at least a loss, they're better than the Tigers, Nats, or A's.

This is cool, great job Manfred. That HR of CC might even keep him out of the hall, and Keyshawn sure deserves better:

    Ballgame!

Great win by Beiber and the Guardos over the Bombers.

Not too confident for the next few months though since our #2 starter just extended his IR stay and our #3 just went on the 15 day this afternoon.

Turned the Sox game on late, figured I'd catch the last couple innings. It was over. Game time: 2:06. Seems a little too speedy maybe.
