    Posted photos appear sideways

Sometimes the forum will take vertical photos and flip them sideways, with no options to rotate back around. Anything on the forum side that can be done?

The forum always post everything in landscape mode. If you’re taking a picture vertically with your phone, it’s gonna come out horizontal on the website. Take your pictures horizontally and the problem goes away.

if you got a picture you took vertically that you just have to post for some reason, crop it to a square. Problem solved.

    fact.

That’s some fucked shit. It just simply cannot handle anything other than a landscape photo? What about the vertical photos from my iPhone 6 that I was able to post for what, 4-5 years?

Yep, I’m pretty sure that’s what broke the whole damn thing. Thanks.

If you crop a vertical photo just a little bit it will post the correct way.
Original always wants to post in Landscape:

Cropped just 1mm on the vertical plain, and it will post in the correct Portrait position:

This is the quoted "fix", hoping there was something easy on the server side someone could do. The cropping sounds pretty easy, but it's the difference between posting one photo, or five.

What about upside down. I tried inverting the picture on my computer but it was still upside down when I posted it. Shot on my phone in landscape fwiw.

Open the photo on your phone. Click the edit icon (on my phone it looks like a pencil). Crop a tiny amount of the photo on any side. Then tap the rotate arrow until the photo has rotated 360 degrees and looks properly oriented on your phone. Tap SAVE. This all takes about 5 or 10 seconds.

Thanks for this. I've stopped posting pictures cause they always come out upside down.
I don't mind it that much when the pictures are from the Southern Hemisphere but I'll try this in the future.
