A crew of us rolled out to Rossland/Nelson for 5 days of skiing, whiskey drinking, and soaking in the local beauty.

Day 2 vibes were all time!!

Rolled out to Baldface Valhalla Cats
Logistics were pretty chill
- met up at the Playmor park and ride at 7:20
- hour ride to the base on a bougie bus
- pretty rustic sheds to gear up and get walkies + beacons (they make you use their house barryvox)
- cat up to a zone to practice beacon drills
- got up to the ski terrain by ~10:15.

We got super lucky; the 12 riders we had on our all cat were rippers (Minus 3) but the guides did not cater to the lowest common denominator and put us on rowdier terrain each drop.

Guides loved our group; let us ski and extra lap and ski it out to the cat. Rolled up to the drop zone an hour late (Cat 2 was a little salty) purely elated!!

Skied WW the last 2 days, fun hill with a quirky vibe. 2 of the 3 chairs were not running and the lifties didn’t seem to know if they’d be running any time soon.


Met up with Sparkletart her boo thang — both rippers who gave us a proper tour of the hill.

Who actually needs powder baskets when you have a spare tube of caulk laying around.

This morning we went for a little walk to ski some fresh.


The restaurant at WW puts out some quality grub!



Heading back to Spokane tomorrow, it’s been an amazing trip. Our legs are wrecked; but our hearts are full from doing the thing we love so much. Can’t argue with the crew too; we laughed a ton, heckled each other, skied some mediocre terrain and crushed a decent amount of beer/whiskey.
