Are these the same flex as the CS? The pair I tried years ago were too soft for me, but I love the idea of going back to a boot with a rubber boot board!

The "brokie" plastic is what most brands use in World Cup racing still. It's really nice stuff. As of right now, we just can't get the Formula plastics any softer than "130".
Very shops have the new Redster & Remedy boots at this time. If your local shop does not have them, then they will arrive in late summer / early autumn.
Re: flex vs CS - the TX 130 and Remedy 130 will be a little softer than the CS at the coldest of cold temps, but will be stiffer & more stable in the warmer temps. Blister has some interesting insights on their flash review about this.
cool, I see a 25.5 TX 130 online, maybe a remedy will come up eventually I want that one
Hopefully, more shops will carry this new line. It always seemed that the only Atomic boots a lot of shops carried were the Hawk line. In general, I hope we move away from the light boot trend back to boots that actually ski better. I’m really liking what I hear about the Remedy. I still would prefer it came stock with tech inserts for side-country missions, but maybe I’ll have to learn to love daymakers for that. Oh, and thanks for no Boa.
Another question that hopefully doesn't make you want to give up on us haha. I know plastic thicknesses are not uniform, but I have this general idea in my head that the full race boots have about 7mm plastic, the beer league boots like the CS and other 96mm boots have 5mm thick plastic and consumer boots like the ultra and RS 3mm.
Is this directionally correct? and does the remedy fall in the 5mm category?
I really wanted to incorporate a tech insert in the toe. Unfortunately it was not possible due to the mold construction being directly shared with World Cup racing. Adding tech inserts would have created an issue for those boots and we could not risk that. There is enough plastic in the boot to have them added by the good folks at CAST. No issues with that.
Re: plastic thickness - it's a bit of an oversimplification. You have to think of boots as thicker down below and tapering out to where they overlap. Plastic in the chassis of the Remedy is over 8mm thick in a lot of spots, in the back of the heel it can be well over 10mm.
I’ll ask the obvious question. Why weren’t these developed with BOA?..
.
BOA is not used in racing. These molds are the same ones used in World Cup racing, therefore no BOA.
Are these coming with the professional foamed liner?
How do the remedys fit compared to the hawx ultra? I've heard that they're narrower in the forefoot, but maybe taller in the instep?
This is sounding more and more like my dream boot fit. Can you describe the liner a little? Is it more of a "plug" style super thin, or more like a Lange RS 130? Do you need to put it on World Cup style or can you slide your foot in with the liner in the shell? Thanks.
Awesome, that's what I wanted to hear. I have a Lange WC, that I love the performance and fit on, but it can get a little much by the end of the day if I'm coaching/ teaching, and can be miserable to get off on near zero (F) days without spending lots of time with a hair dryer. And I've liked the fit of Hawk's better than a Lange RS, but not the plastic. The new more temperature stable PU sounds awesome as something like the Lange RS 130 gets too soft for me in anything close to warm. And, the foam footboard sounds awesome as those vibrations add up over the day as you get older.
Is there more neoprene around the toe box/forefoot of the remedy liner? Curious because in my experience the old CS Platinum liner was too rigid in the toes/forefoot compared to the Lange RS WC liners that had neoprene back toward the mid-foot. Regardless the Remedy 130 sounds like it’s going to be an awesome boot
Yes - new TX/Remedy liner is much softer in toe box. The CS liner was quite rigid and firm above the toes and the new liner is much more plyable and allows the toes to do their thing.
