David Crosby is dead
I don’t log in but once a year. Being that we are all old now, you should know he is dead at 81.
Enjoyed his career

Great music, ego bigger than his mustache. He could sing.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

RIP. Feels like we've hit the wave of musicians who pushed past the 'dying artificially early' but times up in terms of life expectancy. A whole generation of a significant musical era will be gone soon. Bummer.

I delivered a pizza to him one time mid-80s in his super drugged out days. He was scraggily & pale like he hadn't seen the sun in months. Amazing that he lived as long as he did. RIP!

I'm actually in tears over this. His music was so important to me since that very first CSN record. I've seen him live in various iterations more times than I can count.
I met him briefly at Live Aid in Philadelphia when he got out of a limo backstage having been released from prison to play the show. He looked like hell and carried a little Halliburton briefcase that probably had a kit in it. Have a polaroid I took of that somewhere.
He had a bad rep as human in the early days, and an ego for sure. I think he softened quite a bit in later years. Ego, shitty behavior notwithstanding, what extraordinary and unprecedented talent, and an undisputedly iconic contribution to nearly 70 years of great American popular music. I will miss him. I am sad.

Yup, that 60's gen is checking out at a fast clip these days. Pretty sad.
Maybe Neil Young'll finally forgive him now.

Possibly the greatest concert in the entirety of a day. The Haight was absolutely lit. The liquid acid was really good. CSNY at the Bill Graham Memorial

Yeah, bummer. I saw CSN back in the 80's at a small outdoor venue in Maine. Those guys were amazing! Never caught CSNY.
RIP Croz

Saw CSNY at Roosevelt Raceway, 74. With Joni Mitchell and the LA Express (Miles of Aisle tour). I was maybe 17 just really getting into music and had no idea what I was actually listening to.
Saw CSN several times and they always delivered a great show.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

I lent him a lighter once to light a joint on main street in Driggs. He did not GAF. He was standing there with Sam Bush. It wasn't even festival season.
