    Noosa next week

Heading to Australia for a wedding with family and wife and two daughters (7 and 9). Staying on Hastings right across from Noosa main beach.

Sounds like Noosa can be great but very busy. We are decent long boarders more used to Maui reef break. What should we expect? Any other good spots to check?

Unless there’s a cyclone (Southern hemisphere version of a hurricane) swell, the National Park points are going to be tiny, well shaped, long board waves, very busy but relatively relaxed. The endless beach beaks to the south (Sunshine to Coolum) are reliably mediocre, but uncrowded. If there’s a cyclone swell, the points become high quality, super busy and competitive short board waves. There are other options north and south that work in specific conditions, but require local knowledge.
