sounds like an Apex boot to me -

Well the boa dial is held on by a small plastic part call the bayonet. This piece screws onto the shell and is what allows the dial to pop off underimpact and not potentially damage the shell. So theoretically it would be pretty easy to incorporate the bayonet onto the front of a tongue so if you wanted to change tongue you just pop off the dial and exchange tongues. Theoretically speaking of course

I’m a die hard plug dobermann skier. But I’d love to try a OG flexon shell with new boa system.

Let us all know if you decide to go give the new "5" a go. I loved the previous consumer's boots ' performance, but had, unfortunately, so many fit issues that I gave up in the end.

Haha I wish. No like I said, I think below, there is currently no 3 piece solution available from boa so this is really just what we would like to do. But boa have there priorities on overlap boots currently which makes complete sense.

Sorry for the late question, but to confirm: did you weigh these? If so, thank you - that's really useful!! I assume that is with a stock Summit 12 with brakes (395g per skimo.com). Yeah?

This fits right in the range of:

    190 Moment Wildcat Tour 108 with Voyager 14 (2292, 2312g)
    185 WNDR Intention 110 with Voyager 12 (2389g)
    sproing!

Yeah that was the production version of the 189cm Echo Summit12 w/brakes.

The Summit is currently recalled though along with all MTNs made between May 22 - March 23 which is the vast majority of this seasons product run

Awesome thanks. I'm more interested in the Echo 106 (if it wasn't so godawfully fugly).

But that is crazy about the Summit 12!! Never buy a first-year tech binding....

Not really on thread but it seems like we are getting closer and closer to fully AI generated kickstarter/product launch videos. With this ad for the flextail zero pump.

The voiceover script sounds a lot like chatGPT, but it is interesting to think how generative AI could change the ability of companies in non-English speaking countries to market directly to English speakers.

That voiceover is definitely uncanny valley weirdness. It has to be an AI-generated voice also, as no English speaker with that absence of an accent would read those sentences without correcting the grammar.

They are claiming the 2.0 is “lighter, faster and more powerful” !!

    More powerful eh?
Anybody know what has changed besides the wire buckles?
    Shell looks unchanged?

Edit: Skimo claims a new, slightly thinner sole.

Bca is coming out with a new radio, the link mini. I kindof imagine this is a direct response to the rise of the rocky talkie since the link 1 and two are much bulkier radios, i’m definitely interested in trying this thing out and seeing how big it is in person

They've also changed the shell material from PU to Grilamid - or the cuff, the lower shell was supposedly grilamid all along (according to Blister).

I find it to be a odd decision - if prob an easier (cheaper) "win" than having to create a brand new mold. Though, the old pro tour did not really make sense as it was - it was kinda in no man's land arguably, too heavy and not good enough articulation to fit in the light weight category, too flimsy liner (not really conducive to after market replacement liners either due to the walk mechanism) / ride feel to make sense as harder charging boot.

Looks like yet another rejiggering of the same Garmont shell they've been peddling for the last 10 years. No?

100% the same shell, but they added a new power strap at least.

    Is it true?
I have green version(2021 IIRC) and I’m not satisfied with the stiffness.
If it’s true, l’ll get new one.

Finn Bilous recently posted awesome NZ skiing video, where he is skiing on some new Volkl sticks, which look very much like Line Pescado, just narrower
