Perhaps the new Atomic Backland XTD will now meet the needs of those of looking to do big days skiing aggressive lines. Will be interested in the instep fit.
Those new “more anatomical” 96mm Dobermanns do look very tempting.
Are you saying the hoji free 130 boot will not be made?

This looks like a light touring boot done right with lower buckle instead of BOA and hopefully coming in at a decent weight. And Atomics just fit my fee best.

All flexes of the Hoji free are discontinued. It is now the radical pro and Tigard. Which I actually think looks sick as long as the instep isn’t too high.

Anyone know if the Backland XTD will have a new mold for the clog/lower shell, or use the same mold as the current Backlands? I'm hoping it will have a narrower heel pocket, but guessing they're reusing an existing mold...

Someone should develop a cuff boa with progressive flex built into the cable material. Like a booster boa.

I would assume the shell is thicker to make up for the use of pu which is inherently softer than grilamid.

Essentially it should feel more like a real ski boot.
So you know they are gonna use PU? Awesome if true

Hoji doesn’t make an appearance in that catalog a single time. They must have ended their partnership?

They don’t mention any athletes in there. He’s also working on a new boot…

I love my hoji 130. Starting to get a bit soft though.

    Is the 'radical similar?

I won't give out too many deets yet, but this is a completely new boot, no shared molds with other concepts.

Between commander 108, wildcat 108s, and deathwish 112, curiosity is definitely piqued on what kind of radness justifies another ski in 110

I feel it has to be some sort or reverse camber ski but that’s just me.

    Wild guesses….

    DW goes to 101/108/118

New 110 jib ski - jibbier than wildcat, no camber

I’ll play… I’d guess the 110 is a triple camber shape with some Metal.

(this feels unlikely but it’s an interesting concept)

Is the Prime getting that treatment too?

    I’m going with a 110mm Commander replacement.
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
