if yer gonna get run over by something, a cat exerts some pretty low ground pressure... less than 1.5 psi apparently.

^^^ Ski area in UT I was working at, a Cat driver got out of his machine and didn't secure the controls and as he stepped on the track the machine began to move forward on one side so it was making a circle. He was alone and when he was found several hours later there wasn't much left as the cat had been grinding him to a mush under the track.

01-04-2023, 07:07 PM #10Mechanic Dies after being Pulled into a Snow Thrower
In February 2007, a 63 year-old male mechanic (the victim) sustained fatal injuries after being pulled into a
snow thrower at a ski resort. The snow thrower was temporarily parked in the Snowmaking Department garage.
The victim was working alone at the time of the incident and there was no witness. At approximately 8:15 pm,
two co-workers went to the garage to look for the victim after receiving a phone call from the victim's wife who
reported that he had not come home. When they arrived at the garage, they saw the victim's pick up truck
parked outside the garage door, the garage door opened 12 inches, and the victim caught in the auger of the
snow thrower. The engine of the snow thrower was stalled. It appeared that the victim had tried to move the
snow thrower out of the garage. He started the engine, engaged the PTO, got off the tractor, and positioned
himself between the garage door and the auger to open the door. The clearance between the door and the auger
was 14.5 inches. His flannel shirt was caught by the rotating auger and he was pulled into it. The victim did
not receive any training on how to operate the snow thrower, nor was he authorized to operate or move the
machine.
ITD worker killed in snow plow accident in Boise County
BOISE COUNTY - Idaho State Police and the Boise County Sheriff's Office are investigating a snow plow accident that killed an Idaho Transportation Department employee Tuesday morning.
ISP Capt. Bill Gardiner said the accident happened at milepost 52 on Idaho 21, at Mores Creek Summit. Boise County dispatch said a passerby came by the sheriff's office to report the accident around 10 a.m. Gardiner said it was reported as a crash involving an ITD snowplow. Instead, the ISP trooper who responded found that a man had been sucked into the blades of the plow. Gardiner said the plow is the type that has rotary blades. Gardiner said the man was identified as Byran Bidegain, and he worked out of the ITD shed in Idaho City. We don't have his exact age, but the sheriff's office said he's approximately 62 years old. Police say no one witnessed the accident, so it's unclear how Bidegain got caught in the blades.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Mid 90’s,I met Barbi McQueen at her Pioneer Moon Ranch, out the east fork of the big wood river. She used the cat for winter travel in and out when conditions warranted or fun was on the docket! She seemed at home behind the stick!
Neat lady, friendly and fun. Likely picked up some driving tips from Steve!

Anyone here who says they wouldn’t have a Pisten Bully if they could is lying to themselves.
And that’s just wrong.I still call it The Jake.

Won’t lie — I would own one if I could afford it. Already know that I don’t need it but would still buy it.
