Must certainly be faster than racing in Limp Bizkit cut shorts?

Specialized's team kits are always fairly different from rider to rider. Makes them look not very team-ish.

    Bike park race day.

    'live' results here:

I guess there aren't much for options outside Leogang's bike park.

I believe bike parks are the only place you can legally ride a mountain bike in Austria. Any trails outside of the bike parks are off limits.

That's what I'm starting to understand. Great network of rogue trails in Austria, but anything sanctioned needs to be in the park. Hence a very bike park enduro.

I will say, I like how PB did this... A gopro of each stage and then the timing coming in.... It's the right amount for me to still want to watch the highlight show, but also give me what I want now.

What's with no-name race track previews on PB this year? Are they actually trying to take the stoke away from World Cups?
Can't tell you how many times I've wanted to watch Wyatt Harrington ride a bike. Literally can't give you a number because I haven't a fucking clue who he is. Sure he's a nice kid and all the Canadias in here hate me now.
However many are in a shit ton.

    He's a junior....

If you want the other course previews, go onto Gopro's youtubez.

Most of the track previews have always been random, lesser known guys. But redbull used to have their guys (i.e. Claudio) do previews, so those would be the ones that got attention. Discovery hasn't figured their shit out yet, so we're stuck with only having the lesser known randoms do the previews.

Cathro broke his back. Thibault Laly who's also riding pro for the team is covering more of the management duties while Ben is fucked up, so the junior got to film the preview for their content.

So, CG not any better really. He struggles a little to announce in English.

I just watched Woman’s semis then put on finals… they act like they didn’t just announce the semis..

    Camera work
    Is a bit more consistent

That was a great race. Goldstone was putting on a corning clinic until the last one that he screwed up. Cool to see Kolb finally come out on top. That guy rides clean.

These first two DH races have been so freakin good. Riders doing their best to make up for the not awesome coverage.

Second DH broadcast was way better coverage than the first. Only cut away to a team manager once while a rider was on track vs countless times first race. Ass clown announcers repeating each other the whole time though. Seems like they're both trying to be play-by-play guy with very little color commentary. Feels very lazy, like they're just winging it with near zero insight besides split times and teams.

Follow drones ok, overhead drone boring. Only guy who looked fast with overhead drone was Goldstone. Goldstone and Iles were flying, but both fucked the last chicane. Speaking of: that chicane looked flat and inconsequential on the overhead shot when I knew it was steep and the race was won/lost on it.

Overall stoked with the racing, hoping coverage improves. Kolb 👌

    This year is nuts...
Young guns that can win at any time:
    Iles
    Goldstone
    Williams
    Then you have:
    Greenland
    Super Bruni
    Kolb

    Others looking up to spped
    Luca Shaw
    Deprella
    Vergier

    Never count out:
    Minaar..

    I know I'm missing a handful...

    Dunne
    More frenchies...

Brosnan, Coulanges, maybe Bernard Kerr when he's in the mood.

Bummed that it looks like Amaury is out for a while.

Can’t believe he rode qualifier with a likely unstable unstable C5 fracture. I don’t see a time for him though, maybe he pulled out mid run. Gnar either way.

Too bad Sam Hill looks to be out of form, not surprising though.

Has been great racing so far this year, commentary notwithstanding.

Black Snake with a few hundred metric tons of trucked and helicoptered in dirt. Wondering what kind of mess it'll make, and guessing it'll come down to rain. Regardless, Val di Sole will be sure to test the limits of who can pull off 3 race runs in 2 days.

I think this will be the best test yet of the new format.
I'd be surprised if it doesn't get tweaked for next season. I like someone on Vital's podcast who suggested quali, an LCQ, then finals. Like, if you quali in top 10 or 15 you get to skip a round.

Wonder how blown out it is after the juniors ran (ie, I need to watch that tonight).

Here is some young buck that nobody has heard of's course preview:
