Kauai in two weeks
Heading to Kauai on Dec 28th. Staying on the South Side but will have a car for traveling for surf. Looks like its going to be Huge on the 26th. Hope to watch some big stuff and find a spot where the swell is wrapping around so it manageable .
I will be solo if anyone is out and about

It was a Great 3 weeks off! 7 Days in Kauai- ended up surfing 4 days. One day at PoiPu Outer reef, chest high longboarding.
Three days at Hanalei Bay at "The Bowl" . I got three good days with size from a couple feet over head to some double overhead consistent sets.
I had the wrong board for that place, I rode my new 6'8' step up but the wave face just wasnt steep enough for a board like the happy traveler.
Lots of longboarders to compete with so I had to sit right on the peak with the Locals. I ddnt do too bad. 4-5 long, point waves every day. Two or Tree brutal over the falls too late to try take offs.
All in all that is a pretty easy place to surf. Really enjoyed it.
Ended up flying home on "Big Friday " so surf was bigger in San Diego the time I was in Hawaii.
I did catch three well overhead days at Sunset Cliffs also while I was off.
Im back at work today. Relaxed, but ready to go again
