I made it last night. It’s linked on the binding template thread, but I’ll link below, too. I recommend doing a test mount first, if you want super accuracy. The boots I tested it on were all different, in terms of actual vs. stated BSL and pin placement in the toes, so I chose the boot that I felt was closest to legit. Depending on the boot you should end up a couple mm fore or aft of the template marks, at worst.

I have way, way too many powder skis. Fortunately the wasatch is justifying my quiver this year. But 3 pairs of reverse/reverse skis is beyond what the boss will allow. God damn those top sheets are sexy.

I dont know who you are, but you are eerily similar to me. i also have beat to shit old lotuses I am replacing and I also daily drive bibbys for both touring and inbounds.

Very curious as to where you have your bibbys mounted and your feedback on the mounting point. My 190FR 132 are awaiting bindings and some real world feedback on mounting points but your input would be perfect.

190bibbys: -2cm, had them at 0cm. -2cm solved my perceived tip dive but really it was probably learning to ski more centered vs the loti

184 wildcats: on the line. Love them. Even in powder. Super fun ski with the kids and wide enough to ski pow.

Havent skied the c132 yet. That last storm cycle was all 190cm bibby conditions for me. Love those face shots. Loti never gave me face shots. High speed smooth turns ? Yea. Crusty / wind blown snow? Yea.

Maiden Voyage

Today was a gamble,

Conditions:
-6” in 24 hours of high water content. That snow got skied pretty hard yesterday which caused it to set up.
-1” fell overnight but it was warm (31*)
-Started snowing around 11am today with +2-3” by the end of the day.

Synopsis… these things are stupid fun and so easy to ski!!

I giggled so much today, things which were wild. Their ability to be thrown sideways at any speed and drift over the snow. As the day went on and I got more confidence I was drifting sideways over 1” of wind blown chalk for 20-30ft. Holy shit. That was exhilarating.

Their pivotability in trees shocked me, I kept putting myself in tighter trees in search of the triangles in front of the trees that hadn’t been skied and I was rewarded; these skis are so loose and slashy!

Skied some zones that had gotten solar radiation yesterday (crust) with 2” on top. Frankly I didn’t feel the crust and was able to slarve at ease. God mode unlocked.

I wish I headed back out to our slack country zone at the end of the day to get them back into the deeper 12-14” of snow that was back there. I went their first but the viz sucked and I hadn’t really figured out the ski so I was hesitant to pressure the tip (that taper is wild).

Glad I kept the 200s for mechanized skiing I can’t imagine skiing anything shorter!

As my first time skiing a R/R it’s nice to have such a refined build. For what it’s worth groomers didn’t suck either. Just leave them flat and pivot as you need. If you try and put them on edge that bottom ski tends to drift away a bit, nothing scary. Hell I had them wide open chasing 2Funky down a few groomers and I wasn’t scared.

Carbon, doesn’t have any of the pingy ness smaller skis have had. Could be my P15s and Cochise which take that nervousness out of the ski.

I'm still considering the 190 but that's a lot of ski for me and even though I generally like a heavy ski, being able to whip them around easier has appeal to me in order to make it easier to handle the extra length I'm not used to.

Several reasons:
- walkability: they have cast, I could see skinning up simple ridge lines here in the INW after a quick sled ride in (touring lodge would be fun with these too)
- quickness: I didn’t want to lose the agility of the carbon L138.
- quiver ski: I have a 193 SG which is >2700g + STH2 If I want a heavy/damp fall line charger this is the ski I’d pick.

I wanted this ski to be light and loose, dare I say playful. Everyone I talked to said the carbon L138 never really felt like a lot of ski to bring through tight trees. I worried adding extra mass would make it more sluggish. Maybe if I skied AK spines I’d want more mass… alas, I don’t.

I’m curious if someone with the FR132 will chime in as to how quickly they can get the ski to whip around. I’m sure it’s more to do with ski design vs mass of the ski.

I’m amazed with how well the c132 trucks through 3D snow. Last run of the day I fully opened them up under the chair line (knowing it was going to be set up chop). Their long running length just skipped over all the set up tracks, it was way more Cadillac of a ride than I anticipated.

Like I said earlier, they are not twitchy in the least. There is a subtle energy but never pingy or high strung.

I've skied Spatulas in the past and have 185 Powderboards now, both with demo bindings, both of which are heavy and both were/are easy to throw around in tight spaces.

But they are also both terrifying in the resort once you get on the groomers back to the lift. I know some people do it but I couldn't handle it.

I have skied a true 189 before in powder as well but it had some camber and less rocker than the 132. I found it easy enough to throw around in powder but still cumbersome for my ability level in some places in the resort.
