"Ultra Taper 122-- Paging the "What skis for Japan" thread."
My thoughts exactly.
i want this ski.
crazy idea: we start an HL lottery where people pitch in $20 for a shot at a free pair of skis? with a donation to something worthwhile for whats leftover?
ehh im a couple beers deep so maybe not a great idea...

Looks like a BillyGoat fucked a Ren and somehow, through genetics, the taper moved even further towards center. I'm really curious what that radius is. If that radius is even longer than my 2013 Owl Ren, my wife is gonna be pissed. Pulling the tip taper back a nudge, but also opening the radius would hang my Rens on the wall. Admittedly, the only time the Ren's radius of 35 is too small is when it's March, the lines are filled in, it's fairly dense snow, and I'm arcing railroad tracks through JP's high alpine forests at 60mph. That non-reverse, flat underfoot, profile that I see would also serve this need.
A lot of us dorks get it, but those early morning arcs you do on cold snow groomers... where you arc boot-deep... I do that in fresh snow in the high forest in March/Apr in JP, but it's just below ankle deep. And it's astonishing that a 35m radius is too tight... forcing more turns than I want to make. I think part of the Ren's weakness is the full reverse camber at those speeds. So flattening things underfoot might allow me to adjust my turn radius a bit more.
I just realized that's where a Ren gets hooky... at 60mph, in sole-deep fresh snow, while arcing the fall-line. And it's hooky because of the Reflect Tech/Turn Radius combo of 35. Just removing the reflect-tech, going flat underfoot, would allow me to flex into the arcs.
Huh... thanks for reading... I just had an epiphany and typed out the limit of the reflect-tech, reverse profile. You know... for engineers who might be reading.

the new UT122 just looks....
I too saw it pop up on the site in other recommended skis on the UT132 page, so the webpage throwing some curveballs for HL I guess.
But there are just too damned many sweet skis to choose from in the HL catalogue. Like WTF. My wallet can't keep up with all the skis I would like to order, and arguably do not need. Like at all.
But some of them just look so damned dialed.
Is this the new MO better lotus 120?
Haven’t seen the specs. Ultra taper sounds like a pintail. Can push the shins in any powder.
Paging BusterHymen to the courtesy phone.
I have three pair of Loti,, but Marshall crushes every design. Might have to buy this dayyyum.
Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason
Putting my hand up in case someone is looking to offload a pair of the 200cm 132’s.
I doubt anyone would actually want to get rid of a pair but a guy can hope.

Oh Jesus Christ
i am envious of that topsheet
Hello, I am new here. I talked with Heritage Lab and I am interested in the fr132 200. My understanding is that they need a certain amount of volume to press skis. Is anyone else interested in the fr132 200?
Yessir! Cheers man, thanks for the post, and happy to do a small run if there are a couple takers!
200 FR132 = hyper nimble land yatch
