Even on my 130 Cs I had to take a Dremel to the cuff. A very small amount of material removed and they fit perfectly

It must be a size issue. Below is my non-shimmed 24/25 cuff Lupo HD

    Thanks!
Had to get longer screws, Cascade recommends M5x10 on their site, all I could find was M5x12 but they worked perfect. Re-locktite them and they feel solid, gonna test em out this weekend

Joey’s getting his today, so we should have a verdict on the 26/27 cuff shortly.

Mine is 27.5 cuff for reference with the issue.

Per the youtube video, the reference size is a 25.5, looks like a 130C with the "fiber charged" cuff:

I wonder if the reference size for the carbon cuff boot was larger, and the assumption was made that the the difference in fit was due to the cuff style, not the cuff size. I wonder if the cuff size breaks over 2 clog sizes, like the tongues do (e.g., 26.5 and 27.5 use the same tongue).

Seems like v.2 could be made with a slightly thicker base so that no shim is required for sizes 26.5 and larger, and the extra thickness probably wouldn't be an issue on the smaller sizes.

Ya. I just got mine for my new lupos and I needed to dremel just to get the spring action. The amount I needed to removed was minimal and could be done carving with a razor blade. Touched it with the dremel and they are good to go now though!

I was the guinea pig for the carbon cuff, in a 26.5. The interference there is a bunch bigger than you guys are showing on the regular cuff.

    Also a 26.5 carbon cuff.
Did you use the Cascade Components shim or some other work around?
Is the new lever more rigid than the stock lever.

Anyone notice the difference in forward lean?

I made shims out of some brass shim stock I had lying around. Good hardware stores should have some. The Cascade shim didn't yet exist when I got mine.

The forward lean change is for sure noticeable (and welcome, at least for me personally). The new lever is definitely also burlier, and by dint of the extra forward lean preloads the cuff a bit more and takes out a lot of the slop that you get with the stock mechanism.

I shimmed with 1mm SS washers I had on hand. 28.5 Lupo 130c for reference (orange ones). Reused the oem screws with a drop of locktite. The new lever isn’t as “springy” as the oem, probably due to a little friction on the cuff by only shimming 1mm instead of 2. Works fine though.

I like the added fwd lean. Yes it takes a little more effort to engage while touring, but totally doable. Worthwhile upgrade!

I had to remove a small amount of cuff material to ensure the spring action was smooth, no shims needed.
The fwd lean was too much, but realized both cuff alignment discs were in the low mode, moved to high & think it will work. Boot feels more responsive, which is

Does that mean the alignment discs have the arrow pointing up? Can you post a photo of how they are oriented?

Got my first few days in on these. I put them on 28.5 130 C’s, no interference using the cascade shim kit. The lean angle feels better to me, not too far forward but just right. Before they were a bit too upright, felt like I was fighting to get forward. I did notice it’s a bit harder for me to get the lever engaged transitioning downhill even with tongues out. Takes a bit of effort. I’d still install as they ski nicely.

If anyone is looking for a pair of links mine are up for sale. 1 day of use, no issues. Just going a different boot direction.

Looking for a set in Alberta

RockyMTN Where are you located? I'd pick these up if you are between Revelstoke and Calgary.

The boots ski much better with the increased forward lean IMO.
