    Big nut influencing.

I don't eat sweets, but neither. I haven't had a baked sweet pie in probably a decade, but if I were to, it would be mixed berry crumb, followed by shepherds, or pot pie on short order, hopefully beforehand. Or even one of those nice flaky portable meat pies from across the pond. Even better, a good empanada, but I seriously digress into savory land.

Pumpkin happens all the time in redneck south

Pecan is what you do in the tent in the middle of the night when winter camping

Coconut cream with good vanilla whipped cream on top. Graham cracker crust.

With salt and chipotle powder roasted mixed nuts on the side.

Sweet potatoes belong as a side dish with marshmallows and pecans. Pumpkin pie is a dessert item.

I took the Pumpkin and Apple pies to work this morning. The wife said, "leave the Pecan". Nuff said.

A local restaurant/bakery makes a triple nut pie - pecan, walnut and almond, that knocks the socks off of simple pecan and pumpkin.

If you weren't diabetic before eating that pie, you are now.
