My Olukai Moloa Hulu slippers showed up today….damn…they are sweet..It’s a great looking/comfortable around the house kind of footwear. Gonna be a nice winter for my feet.
First time Olukai guy….would totally buy again/especially with that 50% off code.

A lot of you must live in warm climates.
If I need to wear slippers, it's because my feet are cold barefoot in the house, which means my ankles are cold too.
Ugg knockoff Bearpaw brand boots in black. Done.
Feet and ankles cozy and warm.
Yeah, no sole structure or arch support, but if I'm wearing them it's because I'm just putzing around the house, not hiking

Yeah, pretty warm here this weekend with single digits in the morning and then warming to the middle to upper teens during the day.

I assume that I, like most of you, live in a climate controlled indoor environment, so warm vs cold climate isn't really part of the equation. And my feel get cold but my ankles never do.

On Birks The cork sole usually cracks at the ball of the foot and of course where neanderthal walk on the back lip
I deconstructed/ reconstructed a pair, i found out there is a layer of fabric screen in there between the rubber sole and the cork upper, I did a fix for the folks who pay me to huff tolulene & fix dry suits its all easy to fix with wait for it

BTW for all of you birkenstock wearing hippies you can keep the cork sole in shape with this product from birkenstock
https://www.birkenstock.com/ca/cork-...=cork%20sealer
The stuff i used was a clear latex that dryed quickly on the cork and kept it looking new, until I ran out of it and used AQSLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

I’ve used Shoe Goo to seal the cork for 30+ years. Cheapest and easy, lasts forever.

I've heard the best ones are in Montreal.
...oh, you said sLippers. My bad. In that case, I've sure enjoyed my LL Bean elkhide slippers for many years now. I've had mine for about a decade now:

In an interesting twist to my quest for comfy warm feet I’ve spent that allotted slipper money on my wife. New slippers for Christmas.
